BCSA - Can't get enough players for a game

BCSA simply states that a forfeit only occurs if it is reported as such.  These are expensive and should be avoided. Every now and then despite our best planning you can't get enough players for a game.  If this is the case and you know in advance, but not far enough to reschedule:

Talk to the opposing coach and explain the situation.  You have 2 options.

In both cases:  Offer to have MESC pay ref fees for both teams.  Agree that both teams and the referees will file the game report as a MESC 1-0 loss.  The additional referee fees in these situations will be billed back to the team parents.

Option 1:  On game day explain the situation to the opposing coach and request to borrow players.  Explain that the game will be reported as a 1-0 MESC loss and their referee fees will be paid.  Get the game played.

Option 2:  For either a home or away game, without either team traveling to the game:  Agree to have the home coach show up to the field at game time and pay both team's refs.  Reimburse opposing team.  Explain that they will have to talk to the referees and have the refs file the game report as a 1-0 MESC loss so that the game doesn’t get reported as a forfeit.
